Want to help guide the work of FFSA?
We're hiring, and also looking to expand our management committee
Hello FFSA friends and supporters,
2024 has been off to a fast start and it’s hard to believe it is already almost the end of February! Here at FFSA, we’ve kicked the year off by focusing on streamlining our internal systems for our fast growing team and projects.
Part of that work is looking to expand our team as well as our Management Committee (ManCo) which helps guide and govern the organisation. So we’ve decided to reach out to you, our supporters, before broadening our search.

What is expected of the FFSA Man-Co?
You might be wondering what would be expected of you if you were to join our Man-Co. We’ve listed more information below to help guide your decision to apply.
ManCo functions: Our management committee, drawn from members of our voluntary association, fulfils the functions of a board, taking overall responsibility for our governance and continued fulfilment of our mission, advising and assisting the senior management team and director.
Time commitment: We meet three to four times a year for up to two hours, usually online on a Monday evening from 7.30pm. We also liaise on an ongoing basis via WhatsApp updates to give you a clear view of what our team is busy with. We hope that you can join us in occasional in-person strategic planning sessions.
Voluntary role: These are unpaid, voluntary roles that would suit people with a passion for the environment and human rights, and ideally with knowledge and experience of organisational management and governance, especially in the non-profit sector.
Thanks for your ongoing support and consideration, and perhaps we might just see more of one or two of you soon.
Until next time,
David and Sarah, on behalf of the growing FFSA team
